Jenny's Journey She started at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1991 and received her Paramedic license in 1993. She started working for Lubbock EMS in 1992 and moved to AeroCare in 1999, where she still works full time. She has been a nanny (fulltime) and worked in local daycares. (part-time) In 1997, Jenny accepted a part time position as the preschool/nursery director at LOCC. She told Chuck she would do it until she was no longer having fun…She’s still having fun! Jenny is passionate about kids and connecting them to Jesus…
“I believe in the sanctity of the Bible, the power of it to change kids’ lives, and the truth that a hand full of Goldfish really can soothe the savage beast. I believe that my work is the greatest of adventures, worthy of my best efforts. I am not a changer of diapers, I am a changer of lives, and I do not, under any circumstances, ‘JUST’ work with kids.” - Jenny Findley
Home Life In A Nutshell Her favorite things: My God, My Husband (Brian, also a Live Oak staff member), My children… in that order and everything else is just fluff. Of that fluff, I really like to scrapbook, watch NASCAR, camp, research genealogy, and read. I like puzzles, Sudoku, and music. (the tempo of the music, not the words, can change my mood) I am an introvert with a big mouth, and when I get ready to tell you, you'll know exactly how I feel.
Jenny In Her Own Words:
I'd Rather Be.... I am usually pretty happy right were I am but, my favorite places to go to rejuvenate my spirit would be my back porch or wherever my camper happens to be.
Favorite Book Ever.... There are so many to choose from, I don’t think I could pick just one. Mostly I like to read fiction.
Movie I Never Get Sick Of Watching.... Man From Snowy River.
Quote I Wouldn't Mind Calling My Own.... "Standing around at church does not make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.”
If I Wasn't In Ministry, I'd Want To Be.... Seeing as how I am not full time “in ministry” I guess I am exactly what I want to be. I really think we are all full time “in ministry” whether we get a paycheck for it or not!
